ABOUT ARTIST
Jinho Choi is known for his modern interpretations of traditional 고려 Goryeo celadon, a Korean ceramicware marked by its subtle pale-emerald tones. Hand-crafted in his studio in rural Gangwon-do, east of Seoul, the tableware is designed for everyday use, featuring a natural glazing technique that provides a unique sheen and colour. While Goryeo celadon comes from a traditionally ornamental and regal purpose, Jinho is bringing this artisan craft into the modern era, by focusing on pieces suited to the way we live and entertain at home today.
